I'm still alive in Atlanta, the City of Trees. Did you know that Atlanta has the longest average commute time in the country? It also has worse air polution than Los Angeles. This is what I'm told. There are also dividing lines in the city that are so definite that you would think you travelled a couple miles versus a few yards. One minute you are driving by large, lavish houses with immaculate landscaping and wrap-around driveways. Then you cross a small bridge and, bang, you're in lowerclassville with 7-11s and garbage and bus stops. Just like that.
I went for a walk this morning. It was still dark, but I decided to go through a park. I was impressed. I need at least a rubber mat on top of soft dirt to sleep comfortably. There were men sleeping on brick tile all through the park! I just don't understand. Being a bit on the homeless side myself, I would NEVER have even come through Atlanta (or any city of this size) if I didn't know people here. Oh well, to each hos own. Maybe one day I to will be tough enough to be able to sleep on brick tile, although I would think that could cause nerve damage.
